PARTNERS

Al of our containers have filled up, but there are still many ways that you and your company, collective, or organization can work with UNITED PHOTO INDUSTRIES in creating the unique adestination that is PHOTOVILLE in Brooklyn Bridge Park this Summer:

  • Put together demonstrations, and/or set up an information tent - These are great ways to put your product and/or services out there to a greater community of photo and art lovers.

  • Organize lectures, workshops or panel discussions—there are few spots left in the schedule!

We also welcome new and creative ways to get the community excited about what we all do in the world of photography – so now is the time to get in touch with us!

Dedicated and Passionate Volunteers will be the backbone of PHOTOVILLE @ Brooklyn Bridge Park.

There are many opportunities to take part and to also share your skills with us and be part of this unique destination - be part of the birth of PHOTOVILLE!

What is expected of me as a volunteer?
Volunteers are required to work a shift of approximately 4- 8 hours a day (depending on when you are available).

Your commitment to scheduled dates is important.

What can I do as a volunteer?
There are many areas where you can volunteer:

  • DOG RUN We need Dog Lovers to man our Dog Run - make sure every person & pup are obeying the rules and just making sure everyone is having a grand time!

  • GENERAL Volunteers will man the entrances of PHOTOVILLE and the exhibitions and booths where needed, including the information booth, Camera Obscura and Beer Garden!

  • COMMUNITY We will unleash volunteers out to the community to spread the word of PHOTOVILLE, post flyers, and also to help direct traffic

and do you have any special talent or skill that you think PHOTOVILLE can benefit from? Email us!

Are there perks to being a volunteer?
Well of course - and it's not just the people you will meet, and the awesome exhibitions, and the dogs...

Each Volunteer will be eligible for:

  • A Food Voucher for each shift worked

  • Free PHOTOVILLE Volunteer T-shirt // stylishly designed by our team

  • A ticket to our PHOTOVILLE wrap up party

INTERN @ PHOTOVILLE

We are looking for passionate, dedicated and skilled Interns to work with us starting now and leading up to the event in June. Time and days will be dependent on each person and what their duties are.

Areas we need to fill are:

COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
Help us with our Social Networking Outreach - we need passionate and media savvy interns who think outside the box, who will assist in tweeting, posting to facebook, blogging, and also reaching out to the greater community. Help strategize and be part of a team that is interested in building a community!

GRAPHIC DESIGN / WEB INTERN
Help us prepare PR/Marketing materials and to format proposals and treatments. Projects would include helping to create e-mail blasts for PHOTOVILLE and formatting signage, the program, and anything else that would come up.

Interns should be familiar with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, basic HTML and CSS, web graphic formats, Microsoft Word. After Effects optional.

This is a great opportunity to work on your portfolio as well as work with experienced graphic designers and our events team.

PRODUCTION & ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNS
We are looking for several people to assist the core PHOTOVILLE team in making this a reality!

We need people who are interested in photography, event production, arts administration, and anything else that will help produce such a huge event.

Duties will include and are not limited to:

  • Production Management - work with our production team in regards to container logistics, scheduling, lighting, working with vendors, and much more

  • Administration - prepare documents for outreach and publicity, help in scheduling meetings

  • Programming - work with our team in finalizing and scheduling workshops, talks, panels and performances

Here @ United Photo Industries - we are not about interns bringing coffee - we want an army of people who want to make things happen! If you are interested in working with us - just reach out!

People who do not like 5 pound fluffy dogs need not apply...
